内容摘要：伊维德是著名荷兰汉学家，一生致力于中国话本小说、戏曲和古代通俗文学研究。多年来，他用荷兰语和英语向世界读者译介中国文学，在西方汉学界产生深远影响。伊维德非常重视版本，翻译时总是以戏曲的最早版本为底本进行翻译。他还发现了中国古代说唱文学的重要价值，是西方译介中国古代通俗文学最多的汉学家之一。伊维德的译介活动对中国文学在海外的传播起到了不可小觑的推动作用。

Abstract： Wilt Lukas Idema is a renowned Dutch sinologist who has devoted his life to the study of Vernacular Novels， Operas and Ancient Popular Literature. Over the years， he has translated Chinese literature into Dutch and English， which has had a profound impact on Western Sinology. Idema attached great importance to editions and always translated from the earliest editions of operas. Having discovered the important values of ancient Chinese Prosimetric and Verse Narrative， he translated the largest amount of this type of literature that a few Western sinologists could match. Therefore， Idemas translation has played a significant role in promoting the spread of Chinese literature overseas.

伊維德（Wilt Lukas Idema，1944-）是荷兰著名汉学家，哈佛大学（Harvard University）中国文学教授，荷兰皇家艺术和科学院院士（Members of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences）。1970至1999年，伊维德任教于荷兰莱顿大学（Leiden University）中国语言与文化系。2000年，伊维德担任哈佛大学东亚语言与文明系（Department of East Asian Language and Civilizations）教授，后任哈佛大学费正清研究中心主任、东亚语言与文明系主任。几十年来，伊维德致力于中国话本小说、戏曲和古代通俗文学研究，用荷兰语和英语向世界读者译介中国文学，出版学术专著、译著60余部，成就斐然。他用英文翻译的《西厢记》《窦娥冤》《汉宫秋》《倩女幽魂》等元代戏剧，被欧美学界视为最重要的参考文献。……
