摘  要：分析和探讨航海类学生英语学习的重要性，探讨教学中如何帮助航海类学生有效提高英语应用能力。航海类英语教师应提高学生的英语学习重视程度，突出学生英语听说读写的应用能力，突出专业英语的工作应用性，以及纠正对英语失去信心的学生的错误认识，从而达到帮助航海类学生学好英语、实现自己的职业规划、确保我国航运业健康发展的目的。

A Brief Analysis of How Nautical Students Improve Their English Application Ability

Abstract： This paper analyzes and discusses the importance of English learning for  navigational students and discusses how to help navigational students effectively improve their English application ability in teaching. English teachers should improve the students' English learning value， highlight the application ability of students listening， speaking， reading and writing English， highlighting the work applicability of professional English， and correcting the mistakes of students lose confidence in English so as to help navigational students to learn English well and achieve their career planning to ensure the healthy development of shipping industry in our country.

航運业具有国际性，没有海员的贡献世界上一半的人会受冻，另一半人会挨饿，海员作为航运业最直接的参与者，船舶航行于世界各地，而英语作为国际最通用的语言，不管是船舶之间的协调避让还是船舶申请引水、申请救助，还是申请物料或是跟港口国的检查沟通等，都离不开英语的有效沟通。船员英语应用水平高低直接关系到船舶及航运业的安全，世界上因为语言障碍导致的船毁人亡事件时有发生，给船舶和环境造成了不可估量的重大损失，因此船员掌握好英语对于整个航运业具有十分重大的意义。航海类学生是未来航运业的中流砥柱，研讨好航海类学生在校期间如何学习好英语对与航运业具有十分重大的意义。该文从全日制学生在校期间教学出发，探讨如何有效提高航海类学生英语听说读写能力。
