长安与罗马，分属丝绸之路的起点与终点。在中国和意大利建交50周年之际，《从长安到罗马》将这两座城市的精彩故事浓缩到百集微纪录片中，通过中西比较视野讲述丝绸之路上的文明传奇。在第一季引发海内外收视热潮的基础上，第二季从2020年11月6日起在中国中央广播电视总台、西安电视台、爱奇艺，以及意大利国家广播电视公司历史频道Rai Storia和新媒体平台Rai Play等同期播出，包含“品味东西”“城市奇观”“时尚设计”“美术雕塑”“治国之道”五个主题。《从长安到罗马》第二季不单是风光再现，而是用长安与罗马两个城市空间表征东西方文明，通过搭建空间对话的桥梁，使两种文明在交流互鉴中启发思考、增进理解，从而更好地进行跨文化传播。

Chang'an and Rome, the beginning and end of the Silk Road.On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy, "From Chang'an to Rome" condenses the wonderful stories of these two cities into a hundred-episode micro-documentary, telling the civilization legend on the Silk Road through a comparative perspective of China and the West.On the basis that the first episode has triggered a heat in domestic and overseas ratings, the second episode will be released on China Media Group, Xi'an TV Station, iQiyi, and the History Channel Rai Storia of Italian National Radio and Television Company and its new media platform Rai Play at the same time from November 6, 2020, including five themes of "tastes of East & West", "urban spectacles", "fashion design", "art sculpture" and "ruling the country".The second episode of "From Chang'an to Rome" is not only a reappearance of the scenery, but using the two urban spaces of Chang'an and Rome to represent the eastern and western civilizations.By building a bridge of spatial dialogue, the two civilizations can inspire thinking and enhance understanding in the exchange and mutual learning, so as to better carry out cross-cultural communication.

《从长安到罗马》第二季打破了国内历史文化题材纪录片按照时间线叙事的传统，把空间作为主要叙事思路和呈现对象，镜头在长安和罗马间来回穿梭游弋，经纬之间，如同精致丝织品上细密的针线。在第一集《火热的长安与高冷的罗马》中，影片先对准了罗马纳沃纳广场的一家米其林餐厅，着重展示该餐厅的露天座位区域，几组镜头让人感受到意式餐厅的装修之简约、环境之和谐，也与意式菜肴对保留食物原本味道的朴素追求相呼应。镜头随即切换到西安永兴坊，厨师爆炒时锅里的火苗、火锅里翻滚的红油、多人围坐的餐桌等镜头拼接在一起，建构了中国美食空间中所追求的热闹氛围，两个饮食空间的背后映照的是两种文明餐饮文化与生活方式的特色与差异。……
