首爾开始举办会展活动

首尔COEX会议中心近日透露，从今年7-12月，会议执行总共将举办约8场国际性会议及展览活动，首尔的其他会展场馆也在严格的健康措施下开始承办活动。

首尔的首场疫后会展活动是6月3-6日举办的韩国园林景观博览会，之后是首尔国际牙科展兼口腔科学大会SIDEX，该展会为期两天，共迎来4860名参会代表。韩国于今年4月出台了新冠疫情防控相关条例，而各会展中心也制定了自己的疫情防控措施，包括扫码登记、入场测温、频繁对场馆消毒、保持室内通风等。

Seouls MICE Industry back to business

From July to December， Seouls event venue COEX has about 8 international exhibitions and conventions listed on the event calendar. Other convention centers in Seoul also started holding events under strict quarantine measures.

The Central Disease Control Headquarters and the Central Disaster management Headquarters released Disinfection Guidelines to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 at Public and Multi-purpose Facilities on April 2， 2020 and convention centers have developed their own procedures and measures in supporting the document. In a first step， every attendee is to be registered with a QR code. Wearing a mask is mandatory to enter any public gatherings including MICE events.

GES母公司同比营收大幅下降

在今年第二季度，全球知名的会展全服务商GES母公司——Viad公司收入仅为3090万美元，比去年同期下降92.3%，新冠疫情对会展服务企业的重大影响可见一斑。Viad总裁兼首席执行官Steve Moster表示，“今年的第二季度对我们而言简直是前所未有。在新冠疫情和政府的防控措施下，我们的会展业务基本全方位停顿。我们忍痛采取了果断的措施，保证现金流以及自身团队、客户和所在区域的健康和安全。直到今天，除了业务基本停顿，我们还采取了一系列其他措施来保证公司的生存，包括募集1.8亿美元的投资等。”

GES parent company Viad reports sharp revenue drop

For the second quarter of 2020， Viad， the parent company of full-service live events company GES， has reported revenue of US$30.9 million， down 92.3% from the 2019 second quarter， reflecting the acute impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Steve Moster， president and chief executive officer， commented， “The second quarter was unlike any other quarter we have experienced. As the COVID pandemic and government actions halted services across our business， we made swift and difficult decisions with an immediate focus on cash flows and the health and safety of our team members， clients， guests， and communities. We essentially placed our business into a state of hibernation and took a host of other actions to preserve liquidity， including securing additional capital of $180 million and amending our credit facility for longer-term covenant relief.”

马德里展览公司成立安全协调中心

9月中旬，马德里展览公司在产业恢复方面再进一步，宣布成立“安全协调中心”。通过该中心与当地的各级安保部门保持密切沟通，确保在马德里会展中心举办的会议、展览、休闲活动等大型活动能够安全举办。安全协调中心将与公司已有的全天候安保控制中心一道，向外界实时分享会展中心各类线下活动的举办情况和安保措施。

IFEMA creates CECOR

IFEMA is taking its security measures a step forward by creating the Security and Emergency Coordination Centre （CECOR）. The new centre will ensure that IFEMA coordinates effectively with other public and private security and emergency structures to cover IFEMAs different areas of activity， such as fairs， conferences and leisure events attended by large numbers of people. As well as its existing Security Control Centre （24/7）， the coordination centre will be used to share real-time information with other units， such as images， radio frequency communications， and data exchange， ensuring comprehensive monitoring during the organising and staging of events.
