1. —Whats your favorite subject？

你最喜欢什么科目？

—My favorite subject is science.

我最喜欢的科目是科学。

（1）favorite adj. & n. 特别喜爱的（人或事物）

Spring and autumn are my favorite seasons.

春天和秋天是我最喜欢的季节。

Blue was one of his favorite colors.

蓝色是他最喜欢的颜色之一。

（2）subject n. 学科;科目

How many subjects do you have？

你们有几门学科呢？

2. —Why do you like P.E.？

你为什么喜欢体育？

—Because its fun.

因为它有趣。

（1）Why是疑问副词，意为“为什么”。对原因提问，答语用“because”引导的句子来回答。如：

Why do you go there？

你为什么去那里呢？

（2）because conj. 因为

—Why are your pants dirty？

你的裤子怎么那么脏？

—Because I played football this afternoon.

因为我下午踢了球。

3. I like Monday because I have P.E. and history.

我喜欢星期一，因为我有体育课和历史课。

have的应用很广泛，在不同的场合有不同的意思，可译为“有;吃，喝;举行，开（会）”等，加课程名词表示“上课”。如：

have a talk  谈话

have supper  吃晚饭

have math  上数学课

4. Whos your P.E. teacher？

谁是你的体育老师？

Who是疑问代词，它引导的特殊疑问句对人提问，意为“谁”。who作主语时，用“Who + 谓语 + 其他？”的句型。通常who被认为是第三人称单数形式，谓语动词要与其保持一致。如：

—Who helps you do homework？

谁帮助你做作业？

—Mary.

玛丽。

用“Who + be + 主语？”的句型，系动词be随主语的数而变化，主语是第三人称单数用is，主语是复数用are。如：

—Whos this man？

这个人是谁？

—Hes Jacks father.

他是杰克的父亲。

—Who are these girls？

这些女孩是谁？

—They are Joan and Kate.

她们是琼和凯特。

5. He always plays games with us.

他总是和我们一起玩游戲。

句中的play games with意为“和……一起玩游戏”。

play with sth/sb 与某物/某人玩

Kate likes to play with her dog after school.

凯特喜欢放学后和她的狗一起玩。

She often plays with her children in the garden.

她经常和孩子们在花园里玩。

What，Who，Why，When引导的特殊疑问句

1. what引导的特殊疑问句

What引导的特殊疑问句对物进行提问，意为“什么”。如：

What is in your pocket？

你口袋里有什么？

What is that？

你来去自由。

These books are free.

这些书是免费的。

2. I am very busy on Friday.

我星期五非常忙。

（1）busy是形容词，意为“忙的;繁忙”。如：

We are very busy now.

我们现在很忙。

He is a busy man.

他是个忙人。

注意：busy虽然有“忙”的意思，但busy只表示人“忙”，而不表示工作“忙”。所以主语一般用表示人的名词或代词，而不用work。

试译：我父亲的工作很忙。

My fathers work is very busy.（误）

My father is very busy.（正）

busy 的常见短语：

be busy with sth  忙于某事

He is busy with his homework.

他正忙着做家庭作业。

（2）介词on意为“在……时候”，常用于星期、日期前。如：

I have a rest on Sunday.

星期天我休息。

He was born on the night of May 10th.

他出生在五月十日的晚上。

3. My classes finish at 1：50， but after that I have an art lesson for two hours.

我的課1点50分结束，但之后我还有一节两个小时的美术课。

（1）finish v. 完成;做好;结束

What time does the meeting finish？

会议何时结束？

We need to finish our homework on time.

我们需要按时完成作业。

（2）lesson n. 课;一节课;教训

I missed a lesson yesterday.

昨天我误了一节课。

比较：lesson和class的区别

lesson和class在表示“学校的课”时，可通用，但在表示“课本中具体的某一课”和“某种技能、技巧性的课程”时，常用lesson;此外class有“班;班级”的含义。如：

Lesson Three is very interesting.

第三课很有趣。

We study English， Chinese， maths and other lessons.

我们学习英语、汉语、数学和其他课程。

I really care for the students in my class.

我的确喜欢我这个班上的学生。
