摘  要：政治作为国家发展的基调，是其他一切事物发展的基础性影响因素，任何事物都不能脱离政治的影响，体育也不例外。体育从来都不能脱离政治而独立存在，在全球化走向和大众媒介快速发展的今天尤其如此。体育是国际政治和全球经济的延伸产品，体育背后孕育的内涵和情感与政治经济是作用与反作用的关系。体育既是一种特殊功能的政治作用形式也是展现政治表达的方式。被誉为中国国球的“乒乓球”尤其如此。乒乓球在中国，是历史发展的产物，是民族情感的凝聚，更是国家利益的体现。因此，在乒乓球运动日益火爆的今天，分析乒乓球台上的政治应用，重现“小球推动大球”的体育政治效应十分必要。

Abstract：Politics， as the keynote of national development， is the basic influencing factor for the development of all other things. Nothing can be separated from the influence of politics， and sports are no exception. Sports can never exist independently of politics， especially in the era of globalization and rapid development of mass media. Sports is an extension of international politics and global economy. The connotation and emotion behind sports are the relationship between action and reaction. Sports is not only a form of political function with special functions， but also a way to show political expression. This is especially true of table tennis， known as China's national game. Table tennis in China， is the product of historical development， is the cohesion of national feelings， but also the embodiment of national interests. Therefore， in today's increasingly popular table tennis， it is necessary to analyze the political application of table tennis and reproduce the sports political effect of "small ball pushing big ball".

為顺应新时期我国体育发展形势，更好地发挥体育作为媒介在国际政治视阈中的积极作用，在体育传播的基础上实现体育和政治的良性互动，以我国在竞技场上具有强大统治力和在民间拥有广泛群众基础的乒乓球为代表，运用观察法、文献资料法及功能分析法研究中国乒乓球在发展过程中的政治应用。

2018年11月16日，人民日报客户端发表题为《现场观看巴新国乒训练，习近平“体育外交”再添新故事》的报道，报道指出，在习近平主席对巴布亚新几内亚进行国事访问期间，中国教练员、前世界冠军施之皓和奥运冠军张怡宁也追随总书记的步伐来到了中国乒乓球运动学院巴布亚新几内亚训练中心训练指导巴新运动员。……
