[Abstract] Objective: To investigate the effects of health education by multiple one-to-one on type 2 diabetes in urban and rural communities. Method: A total of 60 patients with type 2 diabetes managed by our community center from August 2016 to January 2017 were selected as the study subjects, and patients were randomly divided into the experimental group (30 cases) and the control group (30 cases). The experimental group received health education by multiple one-to-one, while the control group received routine health education. The differences of blood glucose control and self-management ability between the two groups before and after intervention were compared. Result: The fasting blood glucose, postprandial 2 h blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, self-management ability score in the experimental group were better than those of the control group, and fasting blood glucose, postprandial 2 h blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, self-management ability score after triple education were better than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Health education by multiple one-to-one can significantly improved the blood glucose indexes of patients with type 2 diabetes and can improve self-management ability.
