[摘要] 为给中药学习者提供更多认知中药的角度，加深对中医药文化的了解，提高学习中药的兴趣。本文采用文献研究法、分析研究法，通过参考《本草纲目》、《释名》等书籍，以及报刊、论文等文献资料，对山药各种称谓的释名进行考证。结果显示，其得名主要因颜色、方言、谐音、假借、产地、生长环境、生长形态、质地、避讳等因素相关，含义各异。

[Abstract] In order to help college students know more about Chinese herbal medicine， understand more about traditional Chinese medicine culture， increase interest of learning Chinese herbal medicine， this paper uses literature research method and analytical research method， studies common yam rhizome's name， through referring to Compendium of Materia Medica， Shi Ming， and newspapers， thesis， and so on. The results show that the name after color， homophonic， place of production， growth environment， form， texture， taboo， and so on.

山藥是薯蓣科植物薯蓣的根茎，为多年生的缠绕藤本植物，其食用部分是地下肉质块茎。它既是一味补益性中药，又是一种日常佳蔬，因其卓越的药用保健功效以及糯香可口的风味而深得世人的喜爱。早在《神农本草经》中已将其列为“上品”药材，认为其“补中，益气力，长肌肉，久服耳目聪明，轻身，不饥，延年[1]”。《本草纲目》言其可“益肾气，健脾胃，止泻痢，化痰涎，润皮毛[2]”。中医认为，山药性味甘、平，入脾、肺、肾经，有益气养阴、补脾肺肾、固精止带之功[3]。在《中华人民共和国药典辅助说明》，其正名记为“山药”[4]。然，其异名甚多，本文就其各种称谓的由来及含义进行探讨。

1 山药的各种称谓

除正名为“山药”、原名为“藷藇”以外，山药还有白苕[5]、白药子[6]、佛掌薯[5]、怀山药[5]、淮山药[7]、家山药[8]、九黄姜[9]、毛面薯[8]、山板薯[10]、山薯[11]、山薯蓣[12]、山羊[13]、山芋[1]、山蓣[14]、山藷[11]、扇子薯[15]、蛇芋[9]、生薯药[16]、口藇[17]、储與[17]、署预[18]、署豫[1]、薯药[19]、薯藇[2]、薯蓣[1]、天公掌[19]、土薯[20]、土藷[21]、修脆[13]、延草[9]、野山豆[22]、玉杵[19]、玉延[13]、诸署[13]、诸薯[9]、藷[18]、竹根薯[8]、竹蒿薯[8]、光山药[23]、零余子[24]等几十个异名。……
