【摘要】建筑个体与整体的关系是相互统一的，在城市或整体设计中既不能忽略个体的存在去考虑群体，也不能只注重个体局部不去考虑一个整体之中。从总体上把握城市群体空间的功能、形体等问题，更好地避免传统城市空间建设中的局部分析和研究方法带来的缺陷。

【Abstract】The relationship between the individual and the whole of the building is unified with each other. In the city or in the whole design， it can not ignore the existence of the individual to consider the group， nor can it only focus on the individual part does not consider a whole. From the overall grasp of the urban community space function， shape and other issues， to better avoid the traditional urban space construction in the local analysis and research methods to bring the flaws.

古希臘哲学家亚里十多德提出了“整体大于部分之和”的思想，整体是由个体构成，整体不是个体简单的相加，整体的功能、结构、作用等均不同于其部分的简单的线性总和；个体是组成整体的元素，他们具有各自不同的个性、性格、功能、特色。个体与整体的关系是辩证统一的，既不能忽略个体的存在去谈整体，也不能只注重每个单体而不去考虑它是处在一个整体之中。

系统论中的整体和局部个体的关系，用建筑方面语汇的来表示，可以理解为建筑单体空间和群体建筑空间的关系。

1. 建筑单体空间

（1）建筑单体是建筑群中的一个完整形体，建筑单体就像一首诗、一篇散文，可以集中而明确表达一个主题。对建筑单体的评价往往是从它的造型，色彩、材料以及内部布局能否满足使用要求等来判断。建筑的造型、色彩和质感的处理也是建筑的个性和性格特征的表现，不同类型的建筑表现不同的性格特征。

（2）在中国传统建筑中，古朴素雅的武当山紫霄宫（图1）始建于明朝永乐十一年（1413年）是一座重檐歇山式木结构殿堂。……
