[摘 要] 阅读在人们的日常生活和学习成长中发挥着重要的作用，有效的阅读对于知识的积累、修养的提高、前途的发展特别关键。社会阅读能够让喜欢阅读的社会成员成为阅读的主体，使读书成为日常生活的一部分。社会阅读的发展不仅可以提高一个民族的文化素质，而且关系到国家的繁荣昌盛。公共图书馆作为开展阅读活动的主要阵地，其丰富的文献资源是推动社会阅读发展的有力支撑。公共图书馆开展形式多样、内容丰富的阅读推广活动将会进一步促进社会阅读的发展。文章通过分析我国目前的社会阅读现状及图书馆与社会阅读的相互影响，从而利用图书馆的阅读推广活动以推动社会阅读、构建全民阅读型社会。

The Development of Social Reading and Library Reading Promotion

Abstract：Reading plays an important role in people's daily life，learning and growth. Fully effective reading is beneficial to the accumulation of knowledge，improvement of cultivation and development of future. Social reading can make those social members who like reading become the subjects of reading，make reading become a part of daily life.The development of social reading can not only improve a nation's cultural quality， but also relates to the country's prosperity. Public library is the main place of carrying out reading activity，the abundant document resources of which are the powerful support to promot social reading development. This paper analyzed the current social reading situation，and the mutual influences of library and social reading，thus using the library's reading activity to promote social reading and the construction of a social reading society.

1 前言

阅读对人成长的影响是巨大的，对于国家而言，一个国家的精神文化境界，在很大程度上取决于这个国家全民阅读的水平，构建社会主义和谐社会，需要在全社会进一步激发全民阅读的热情。1972年，联合国教科文组织向全世界发出了“走向阅读社会”的召唤，要求社会成员人人读书，让读书成为每个人日常生活不可缺少的一部分。

中国人民大学校长纪宝成教授说：“于个人，读书益智修身；于国家，读书富国强民；于社会，读书构建秩序与和谐”[1]。未来综合国力的竞争将是科技与文化的竞争、国民素质的竞争，我们应该看到与发达国家相比，存在的阅读差距。……
