突尼斯青年之家是为青年提供学习、体育和文化活动的中心，设计考虑在阿拉伯建筑风格中融合进中国建筑的特色。在锤形用地上，以内庭园为中心，用轴线将室内游泳池、剧场、体育用房三者衔接。各部分用房分合适度，空间构成“外实内虚”，外部形态富于雕塑感，色彩构成适合当地环境，是在同一建筑中体现多元化的尝试。

As an educational, sports, and cultural activity center for the youth, Tunisia Youth Center integrates the characteristics of Chinese architecture into the Arabian architectural style. In the hammershaped land, the design takes the inner garden as the center and uses the axis to connect the indoor swimming pool, the theatre, and the sports room. The design is appropriate in spatial division and rich in sculptural elegance. The choice of color is harmonious with the local environment. It can be regarded as a good attempt to demonstrate diversity in the same building.

评论

王昀：建筑师以洗练的设计手法将青年之家的剧场区域和活动区域分开。错落的体块关系与作为背景而存在的突尼斯当地民居建筑互为映照。建筑本身所呈现的运用45°斜角来对体块进行“切”与“拉”的构图手法是建筑师本人特用的设计语言，呈现着浓郁时代特征的同时，也表现着建筑师试图追求更多结构与空间自由度的态度。

青锋：建在别处意味着离开此地的可能性，脱离自己所属的传统、常识、价值体系，名正言顺地跳入另外一个语境、另外一种文化，以及另外一个建筑世界。最美妙的在于，在这番游历之后，建筑师还能够回到以往的生活中，继续以前的工作。在别处始终是在别处，而非此时此地。这也是为什么连续拱顶以及穹隆这些古老而赋有魅力的建筑元素只能在突尼斯青年之家这样的工程中存在，而无法渗入中国本土建筑实践的范畴之中。……
