摘要：随着我国社会主义市场经济的迅速发展，人们的吃、穿、住，水平都得到了极大的改善和提高。根据建设部关于城乡住宅规划设计的要求，在二十一世纪，我国的小康住宅商品化产业政治将得以全面实施。因此，结合我国北方地区地理、气候的特点，如何使广大城镇居民的商品住宅设计与国家经济协调发展，满是市场要求，对建筑设计人员来说的确是一个需要认真研究的重要课题，借此机会，我愿与业内同仁探讨以下几个问题，

一、 住宅的平面设计

我国北方大部分地区处于地球的亚寒带，其气候特点是夏季酷暑时间较短，冬季严寒时间较长，近年由于地球气候变暖，夏季高温天气也较多出现，据此，北方住宅设计就存在这样一个问题，即防寒保温。解决防寒可以采用多种形式的采暖措施，如热电、燃煤、太阳能、电能取暖等。防寒保温是相互联系的，对于建筑物，既要求在平面设计上比较合理又要使建筑材料隔热保温性能好，就是说墙体材料，门窗材料的热功性能，密闭性能对于建筑的防寒保温性能起着十分重要的作用。建筑平面布局的设计既要考虑其自身的使用功能，同时也要充分考虑保温问题，建筑物的长、宽与其建筑面试是呈函数关系的，如果长宽比例不合适，将会使等面积的建筑物的外墙周长长度相差很大。那么外墙长度的增大，势必影响住宅建……
