无限的环

这栋面积为2 180m2的建筑包含了首层的画廊和一家出版公司的办公空间。坡州书城总体规划的导则中，对于这块不规则形状用地的设定是以“岩石”为原型，建造一座以连续的曲面围合的建筑。这座建筑是由两层的“环”构成：首层为一座公共画廊，2层为办公空间，中央的开放空间则留作一个雕塑公园。咖啡厅、讲堂等辅助设施则位于1层与2层之间的夹层，其同时与上下两层相连，使得建筑内部成为一个连续的整体。

首层的花园、屋顶以及“环”的内部和外部，共同构成了一条长900m的连续步道，这条高度不断变化的环在公共空间／私密空间、室内空间／室外空间之间创造出了一种流畅的互动。台阶与电梯作为不时出现的捷径使得人们能够共同而有效地利用建筑内部的各种功能。□（李译）

The Inf inite Loop

This 2 180-square-meter building houses a gal lery on the ground level and of fice space for a publication company. The guidelines of The Paju Book City master plan for this irregular-shaped site along the river stipulates a "rock" typology, a bui lding with a continuous, curvaceous enclosure. This building becomes a two-story ring, leaving a central open space for a sculpture garden, a public visitor's gallery on the ground level and of fices on the second level.Supporting facilities such as a cafeteria and a lecture hal l are located on the intermediate level between the two main levels, continuously connecting them.This makes the whole building a two-story, infinite loop of interior space.

The roof of the building and the garden on the ground, together with the interior and exterior of the ring, become an infinite, continuous promenade－900 meters of mul ti-level loops creating a f luid interaction between public/private and interior/exterior spaces. Occasional shortcut interruptions such as stairs and elevators al low simultaneous, ef ficient use between functions.□
