From Poetic Encoding to Public Understanding: A Pragmatist Approach to British Romantic Poetry

Abstract:The traditionaltoneof BritishRomanticpoetryisoftenconfinedtosubjectiveandsentimentalaestheticactivities. Fromapragmatic perspective，this paperatempts toelucidatetheaesthetictransformation mechanismtroughwhichRomantic poetry ascendsfromindividualemotiontopublicinterpretation.Poetsencodeprivateexperiencesintoshareableaestheticsymbolsthrough threedimensios:thespiritualiationofjects，theimageryofemotiosandthesymbolizationofoncepts.Byeativelyouct ingpoetictextsndleveragingintepretivefeibilityydcostrutradioalerentiallaioshs，fingdaork ofmeaningnegotiationwithinlinguisticcommunitis.Atthelevelofpublicinterpretation，thegeneratioofintersubjectivengotatio mechanisms notonlypreserves theauthorityof thereativesubjectbutalsotransformspoetryintoamediumforsocialemotionalexchange.Therefore，thevalueofBrishRomanticpoetryliesnotonlyiindividualexpresionbutalsoinitspoetictruth，whichpro videsanaestheticparadigmandpoeticpathwayforthedynamicshapingof meaningcommunitiesinthepracticeofpublicmeaning production.

英国浪漫主义显著的诗学特征表现为主体向自然世界的感性投射。诗人将自然意象编码并转化为情感载体。这种以感觉和情感为內核开启的审美置换也常被诟病为“虚假的感伤癖\"或对自然“殖民式的凝视”。以“感性知觉\"为基础的诗学体系，一方面捕捉到个体经验的丰富表达，另一方面也以诗歌承载存在之显现，并在语言的叙说中为个体抒怀向公共阐释的达成提供了可能性。因此，诗人看似单纯的情感表达实质上指向了一种更具建构意义的真理言说方式。在理查德·罗蒂看来，浪漫主义是审美地修正传统认识论意义上的“确定真理”。从“发现真理”到“创造意义\"的转变勾勒出身体空间与外部空间相互蕴含的对应关系，也为感性经验向公共意义的协商和建构提供了可能。浪漫主义诗歌对自然意象的审美编码是将私人情感纳入可被语言表征的范畴，通过诗性逻辑的“再描述”，使原本不可言说的内在体验获得明晰的表象形式，在历史语境的介入中将其转化为可阐释的公共符号。浪漫主义由此在认识论层面揭示了新的认知范式：真理不再依赖先验的理性框架，而是语言实践主动建构的意义网络。阐释者在诗性语言的交互性实践中既实现意义的不断增殖，又通过共情机制建立诠释共同体，为社会共识的形成提供了新的基础。
