故宫也称紫禁城，位于北京中轴线的中心，其宫殿建筑是我国现存最大、最完整的古建筑群，总面积达72万多平方米，是我国明清两代的皇家宫殿，曾居住过24位皇帝。故宫是中国古代宫廷建筑之精华，也是世界上现存规模最大、保存最为完整的木质结构古建筑之一，被誉为世界五大宫之首，并被联合国教科文组织列为世界文化遗产。

故宫气魄宏伟，极为壮观。尤其到了下雪天，漫天飞舞的雪花，将紫禁城的历史感拉满。一片片洁白的雪花飞过红墙黄瓦，落在百年石板之上，使得古老庄严的紫禁城瞬间灵动起来。白雪掩映下的红墙金瓦，让整个故宫银装素裹，琼楼玉宇仿若仙境。红墙白雪琉璃瓦，雪中故宫美如画。

The Forbidden City, located in central axis of Beijing, is the largest and most complete ancient architectural complex extant in China, covering 720,000 square metres. It was the imperial palace of the Ming and the Qing dynasties and served as the home of 24 Chinese emperors. The Forbidden City possesses the essence of traditional Chinese imperial architectural accomplishments. It is one of the largest and most wellpreserved ancient wooden structures in the world, known as the top of the Five Palaces in the world. The Forbidden City was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.The Forbidden City is incredibly magnificent and extremely spectacular. The sense of history is brought to life when visitors wandering around especially with some snowflakes dancing in the sky. Pieces of pure white snowflakes flying over the walls and tiles, falling on the century-old stone slabs, a dash of vitality blends itself into the ancient solemnity of the Forbidden City. With vermilion walls and golden roofs covered by snow,the palaces turn white. What a picturesque scenery!
