摘  要：在新媒体迅速被读者接受和使用的情况下，面对复杂的读者群体，以如何做好多媒体电子阅览室的管理与服务为课题，概括了多媒体阅览室的内涵、服务项目和免费服务带来的问题，并提出要以读者服务满意度为工作业绩考核的标准，提升管理者的政治觉悟和思想站位为工作依托，夯实管理者的服务意识和管理方法为工作方式，提升读者服务工作水平的解决办法。

Abstract： In the case of new media being quickly accepted and used by readers， how to do well in the management and service of multimedia electronic reading room in the face of complex readers is the subject. The connotation， service items and free service of multimedia reading room are summarized.It is suggested that the reader's service satisfaction should be taken as the standard of job performance appraisal.The political consciousness and ideological position of the manager should be promoted as the work support and the service consciousness and management method of the manager should be tamped up as the working mode as solutions to improve the work level of reader service.

1  多媒體电子阅览室的内涵及概况

很大一部分读者对多媒体阅览室的定义就是网吧，这个定义对但不全面。通常的多媒体电子阅览室是指利用计算机终端、通信终端、网络终端等多媒体电子终端设备为读者提供利用电子型文献的场所。图书馆的数据资源文献主要包括影音资料、联机或网络数据资源、网络数据库等。多媒体电子阅览室是通过信息网络技术把数据资源文献检索、阅览、下载存储等服务整合为一体，以网络服务器、数据服务器、VOD服务器为支持，以网络远程检索系统为工具为读者群体提供整体服务和交互性服务的多功能、数据化的阅览室。它是从传统图书馆发展到多媒体图书馆的改革产物。

2  多媒体电子阅览室的服务项目

目前，我国公立图书馆的多媒体电子阅览室主要有以下服务项目，其内容包含了与阅览室对应的文献检索、阅览服务、光盘外借等几方面服务内容，具体如下。……
