【基本语义】

1. make在作动词时有多种含义

（1） 使;使得

作使役动词，后接复合宾语，常由名词、形容词、副词、介词短语、省略to的动词不定式等充当宾语补足语。如：

My parents makes me do the washing by myself. 我的父母让我自己洗衣服。

（2） 做;制造

My grandma made me a new coat.  我的祖母为我做了一件新外衣。

（3） 成為;变成

You would make an excellent teacher.  你会成为一名优秀的人民教师。

（4） 赚取

They couldnt find work or make money in the cities. 他们在城市找不到工作，也赚不到钱。

（5） 制定

The school makes some rules for students. 这所学校为学生们制定了一些规章制度。

2. make作名词时为可数名词，意为“型号、品牌”。如：

There are so many different makes to choose from. 这里有很多不同的型号可供选择。

【常用句型】

（1）“主语+make+名词/代词+形容词”意为“使某人/某事……”。如：

The good news made us excited. 这个好消息使我们激动。

We must make the air clean. 我们必须净化空气。

（2）“主语+make+名词/代词+省略to的动词不定式”意为“让某人做某事”。如：

This class makes us feel more confident. 这堂课使我们更加自信。

Tom made Jack come over to help him. 汤姆让杰克过来帮助他。

（3） “主语+make+名词/代词+名词”意为“使某人（成为）……”如：

We made him monitor. 我们选他当班长。

（4） “Lets+make+it+时间”意为“让我们把时间约定在……”如：

Lets make it eight oclock. 让我们把时间定在八点吧。
