【摘要】连接副词对篇章衔接有着重要作用。本文基于语料库，以因果连接副词therefore为研究对象，对比分析中国英语学习者和英语本族语者对此词的使用，从微观角度探究两者therefore的使用位置和使用形式。研究发现，和英语本族语者相比，不管从使用位置和使用形式来看，中国英语学习者对此词的使用较为单一和僵化。基于此，研究分析其原因并提出可行建议，旨在提高中国英语学习者书面写作的水平。

【Abstract】Connectives play an important role in discourse cohesion. Based on corpus， this article uses causal connective therefore as the research object. It comparatively analyzes differences in  Chinese-English learners and native speakers use of this word to explore the use position and use form of therefore from a micro perspective. The study finds that Chinese-English learners use the word therefore more rigidly regardless of the use position and use form， compared with native speakers.  Based on this， the study further analyzes the causes and puts forwards practical suggestions to improve the written ability of Chinese-English learners.

一、引言

Halliday和Hasan指出，衔接是语篇中不同成分之间的语义关系。连接副词作为语篇衔接的重要手段之一，是体现篇章连贯的重要方式。Halliday按照语义，将衔接分为四类：增补、因果、转折和时间。Quirk（1985）提出，连接副词的出现位置可划分为三种：句首、句中和句末。

连接副词作为一种显性的衔接手段，在书面表达中具有重要意义。这一方向也成为外语教学的研究热点。赵蔚彬（2003）用语料库的方法对不同英语水平学生的写作状况进行调查，发现中国学生对逻辑连接副词的掌握较为单一，仅局限于少数常用的表达上。刘成兰（2010）研究中国非英语专业大学生的英语作文后发现，中国学生因果连接副词的使用与本族语者存在巨大差异，使用上存在过度泛化的现象。……
