高考一窥：

说起count这一单词，大家一定不陌生。没错，2015年江苏高考英语第29题，即出现了对它的短语考查。题目是这样的：

本题考查了考生对常见动词加介词on的短语在语境中的准确把握。语境理解的要求不算高。足球比赛是同学们身边再熟悉不过的话题。只要同学们对足球有一定的了解，能明白句中let sb.down的含义为“使……失望”，那么就应该能够看出题干大意是：足球先生C罗是值得全队依赖的。count on指望;依靠。

当count作名词时，可以有以下四种含义：

1.计算;合计数

例如：at the last count最后算下来

2.keep/lost count知道（不知道）正确数目

例如：Ive lost count of how many times Ive watched the TV program.

我都记不清这个电视节目我看过多少次了。

3.罪状

例如：The prisoner was spotted not guiltyon all counts.犯人被指控各项罪状都不能成立。

4.out for the count（拳击比赛中）被判失败;熟睡

例如：Dont try to wake Mary. She is out for the count.不要试图叫醒玛丽，她已经睡熟了。

常见搭配：
