Analysis on the Integration of Jiangsu and Zhejiang Folk craftsmanship in Garment style Design

Abstract: this paper briefly describes the types of folk crafts in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, focusing on the integration method in fashion design for reference only.

Introduction: embroidery, paper-cut and blue printed cloth are the traditional folk craftsmanship in Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions. With the development of modern society, these traditional cultures are gradually replaced by new things. In order to prevent the loss of traditional arts and crafts, they are integrated into various fields. The application of fashion style design greatly improves the application rate of traditional technology and realizes the fusion of traditional technology and modern art.

一.Types of Folk craftsmanship in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces

(一)blue cloth with design in white

Jiangzhe blue printed fabric is a traditional Chinese printing and dyeing product, which has a history of more than one thousand years. At first, bluegrass was dyed as dye, and soya powder and lime were used to make baking blue of ash pulp, which was made by multi-channel printing and dyeing technology. Blue printed fabrics mainly include blue flowers and white flowers with white soles[1]。

(二)paper-cut

Jiangsu and Zhejiang paper-cutting technology is the oldest folk art in China, with hollowed-out technique to give people visual enjoyment, using scissors to cut paper into various patterns, such as characters, flowers and so on. In the past in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, almost every girl used to cut paper. Yangzhou like to cut flowers, Wenzhou mainly for Yueqing fine carved paper.

(三)embroid

Embroidery refers to the use of needles and threads to stitch various designs on fabrics, with a history of two to three thousand years in Chinese history. There are mainly four kinds of embroidery, Su embroidery, Yue embroidery, Shu embroidery and Hunan embroidery. The technological requirements are smooth, clean, flat, even, and after embroidery, the embroidery surface is guaranteed to be smooth and smooth. Flat clothes, do not leak bottom, do not overlap. The folk art of embroidery in Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas has been quite mature.

二.Integration of Jiangsu and Zhejiang Folk craftsmanship in Fashion Design

(一)The integration of blue calico

The pattern presented by Jiangzhi-blue printed fabric generally maintains integrity and has a strong moral, and its pattern arrangement is more uniform, such as using the five-element method to present the nine-palace grid and striving to be full. But the modern clothing design pursues asymmetry, presents one kind of contradictory effect. Therefore, the blue printed fabric pursues innovation, breaks the duplication of the traditional pattern, redesigns the blue printed fabric with the modern idea, and establishes the standard which accords with the modern aesthetic idea through the process of decomposing, refining and combining. Auspicious patterns and narrative themes are the main expression of blue printed cloth, but now in the fashion design, this symbolic integration is weakening, if the The fashion troupe of the generation integrates into the innovation design, has retained the characteristic of the blue printed cloth, also suits the present esthetic idea. Among them, geometric patterns can be used, combined with wrong patterns, so that Jiangsu and Zhejiang blue printed fabrics can be reflected by the design of clothing style, so that it can be spread.

(二)Integration of paper-cut

The biggest characteristic of paper-cut is hollowness, which mainly emphasizes the relationship between transparency and occlusion. This element reveals a mysterious feeling in the design of clothing modeling, and is deeply concerned by modern women. The use of lace is commonly used in paper-cut process in clothing design. The use of lace can be seen in both the international large clothing brands and the clothing in Chinese stores. The main ideas for the use of paper-cut in lace come from the flowers and animal patterns in nature and so on. From the traditional manual production to the current machine production, but now in many clothing design, lace into the traditional hand-made. In addition, the application of paper-cut in modern dress design, There is also a great innovation in color, its Chinese red integration, is warmly welcomed at home and abroad, reflects a happy and auspicious folk culture, paper-cut Chinese red has been the integration of Dior designers, showing Chinese culture.

(三)The integration of embroidery

The integration of Jiangsu and Zhejiang embroidery technology in fashion design, realizing the unity of beauty and practicality, can not only enhance the aesthetic feeling of clothing, but also enhance the practical function to a certain extent, and the embroidery process attaches importance to the innovation of style in the fashion design. Fashion designers use non-formal embroidery, such as beaded embroidery, using glass and plastic and metal materials to make beaded beads of different shapes, which are skillfully combined according to clothing themes, decorated on clothing, and exposed to the shape and color of materials. Enhance the effect of dress design. In addition, the use of embroidery in the design of children's clothing can show the innocent and lively appearance of young children. Cloth embroidery is the most important method used in children's clothing design. Different ages of children's preferences, designed into animals, people and plants and other patterns, affixed to the bottom cloth, and then around the pattern to lock the edge, forming a strong decorative. Beautiful clothing, and enhance the lithiousness of clothing[2]。

Conclusion: in summary, the application of blue bottom cloth, paper-cut and embroidery in Jiangsu and Zhejiang folk crafts is the combination of traditional Chinese art and modern art, which not only innovates the style of clothing, but also promotes the development of traditional technology.
