Mothers Box

The war broke out. Followed the heart， the young husband joined the army and sacrificed his life， leaving behind his wife and kids.

Postwar life was very hard， often with not enough food to eat. Still young and beautiful， the wife refused to remarry and dedicated her life to raising her kids with the best possible care and education.

A chance came， the first born son immigrated to America， studied hard and became a NASA engineer having a good life.

The son often sent home letters， together with much money for mom to spend. However， with many excuses， the son refused to return home to visit mom.

When the mother died， the son returned and organized a big funeral but people did not see him cry.

Mother left behind a box that she always placed at the top of her bed. During the funeral， the son opened the box and suddenly bursted into tears， embraced his mothers coffin and screamed hysterically， “Mom！ Mom！”

Everyone looked at each other and looked at the chest. It was full of 100 dollar bills and a piece of paper.

In it read， “Son， I dont spend too much money. I miss you a lot. Every time I hear a motorcycle passing by， I run out the door but it isnt my son. I save this money for you in case when you get sick.”

战争爆发了，年轻的丈夫听从自己的心意去参军，他牺牲了，留下妻子和几个孩子。

战后的生活很艰难，经常是食不果腹。他的妻子还年轻美貌，但是她拒绝再嫁，她用自己一生的时间去抚养孩子并且给予他们最好的关爱和教育。

机会来了，长子移民去了美国，学有所成，成为了美国国家航空航天局的一名工程师，生活优越。

儿子经常给家里写信，并给母亲寄了很多錢。不过，儿子找了很多理由不回家看望母亲。

母亲去世了，儿子终于回来了，为母亲举办了一个盛大的葬礼，但是人们没有看到儿子流泪。

母亲留下一只箱子，生前她总是把箱子放在床头。葬礼中，儿子打开了箱子，突然抱住母亲的棺木，歇斯底里地哭喊着“妈妈，妈妈！”

在场的每个人都面面相觑，他们看着箱子，里面都是百元美钞，还有一张纸。

纸上写着：“儿子，我用不了多少钱。我很想念你。每次听到摩托车经过，我就跑出门外，但那不是我的儿子。我省下了这些钱，万一你生病了……”
