【摘 要】澳大利亚的民族身份是关系到澳大利亚定位与发展的重要议题。自多元文化政策推行以来，澳大利亚的小说家便大胆地走上了民族身份的“寻根”之旅。通过比较白人作家彼得·凯里的代表作《奥斯卡和露辛达》和土著作家萨利·摩根的代表作《我的位置》中的共同言说，可以看出白澳政策的虚伪与局限，而在多元文化基础上构建一个白澳民族和土著民族和解的澳大利亚才是白人和土著们共同的心声。

【Abstract】Australias national identity is an important issue related to the orientation and development of Australia. Since the implementation of the multicultural policy，Australian novelists have boldly embarked on the journey of the pursuit of ethnic identity.Through comparing the speeches in White writer Peter Careys representative work Oscar and Lucinda and aboriginal writer Sally Morgans representative work My Place，we can see the hypocrisy and limitations of White Australia policy，and constructing an Australia of reconciliation between the whites and the Aborigines based on the multiculture is the common aspiration of the whites and the Aborigines.

0 引言

由于历史原因，澳大利亚的民族身份复杂，但这一问题却是关系到澳大利亚定位与发展的重要议题。在20世纪70年代以后随着澳大利亚多元文化政策的推行，很多有责任感的作家，包括白人作家和土著作家都将笔触及到了这一重要但却一直悬而未决的问题上。他们纷纷走上了重述历史的“寻根”之旅。从他们的作品中，我们得以去除白澳政策下的霸权话语去重新审视殖民历史，了解白人与土著的身份问题以及他们自己想要找寻根基的迫切心声。

1 白澳政策下的白人与土著

澳大利亚是个移民国家。自从澳大利亚建立殖民地以来，最初，他只是英国的一个罪犯流放地。之后，英国发生经济危机，出现大批失业人口，英国政府又鼓励英国人移居澳大利亚。在这段殖民史中，白澳大利亚的种族思想与帝国话语占据了主导地位。……
