摘 要： 针对英语教学质量复杂的变化特点，为获得高精度的英语教学质量评价结果，设计了基于主成分分析和支持向量机的英语教学质量评价模型。对英语教学质量的影响指标进行构建，采用主成分分析对英语教学质量评价指标进行优化和选择，利用支持向量机得到英语教学质量等级评价结果。具体应用实例的测试结果表明，所提模型可对英语教学质量等级进行高精度评价，评价结果能够为提高英语教学质量提供有价值的信息。

English teaching quality evaluation based on PCA and SVM

Abstract： According to the complex change characteristics of English teaching quality， an English teaching quality evaluation model based on principal component analysis （PCA） and support vector machine （SVM） was designed to get the high?precision evaluation result of English teaching quality. The influence index of English teaching quality was constructed. The PCA is used to optimize and select the evaluation indicators of English teaching quality. The SVM is used to get the grade evaluation results of English teaching quality. The test results of a specific application instance show that the model can perform the high?precision evaluation for English teaching quality degree， and its evaluation results can provide the valuable information for improving the English teaching quality.

0 引 言

在高校教育中，英语是每一个大学生的必修课，而且本科院校对大学英语水平有一定的要求，同时英语与其他课程学习直接相关，因此提高大学生英语教学质量十分重要[1]。而教学质量是衡量英语教学效果的一个关键指标，英语教学质量评价是一个十分复杂的过程，涉及到许多因素，如评价指标、评价方法等，因此建立一种客观、科学的英语教学质量评价系统是一个具有挑战性的问题[2?3]。

相对于其他课程教学，英语教学具有自身的特殊性，如互动性比较强，知识具有相当强的连贯性，因此比一般课程的教学质量评价要复杂得多[4]。最初高校采用简单统计学方法对英语教学质量进行评价，假设英语教学效果与评价指标是一种固定的变化关系，通过确定变化参数，就可以得到相应的英语教学质量评价结果[5]。……
