The next song, We Belong Together, went no better. At times, Carey lowered the microphone⑤microphone 英 ['maɪkrəfəʊn] 美 ['maɪkrə'fon] n. 扩音器，麦克风from her mouth and the music, vocals and all, kept playing, making it clear she was lipsynching⑥lip-synch假唱.

"I'm trying to be a good sport here," she said, adding her own sarcastic review of the performance. "That was... amazing."
