摘 要：文章介绍了工程教育认证的背景，工程认证的要求和步骤，介绍了普通高等学校进行工程认证的必要性和迫切性，以北京信息科技大学机械设计制造及其自动化专业为例，介绍了普通高校开展工程教育认证的思考和实践，为其他工科院校开展工程认证提供参考。

Abstract： This paper introduces the professional programmatic accreditation of the engineering education background， requirements and procedures. The necessity and urgency of the professional programmatic accreditation of the engineering education is analyzed for the common universities. The thinking and practices from mechanical design manufacturing and automation major of Beijing Information Science and Technology University on carrying out professional programmatic accreditation of the engineering education is presented， which provide a reference for other engineering colleges to do professional programmatic accreditation of the engineering education.

一、高等工程教育认证的背景与回顾

2016年6月2日，在吉隆坡召开的国际工程联盟大会上，中国成为《华盛顿协议》的正式会员。《华盛顿协议》是世界上最具影响力的国际本科工程学位互认协议，所提出的工程专业教育标准和工程师职业能力标准是国际工程界对工科毕业生和工程师职业能力公认的权威要求。工程教育专业认证最早追溯到1936 年，美国哥伦比亚大学、康奈尔大学等大学的相关工程专业得到了美国工程与技术认证委员会（简称ABET）组织的首批认证。ABTE在世界各国均有很高的公信力。美国已有约368所高校的1798个工程专业开展了认证评估。

我国工程教育专业认证工作起步较晚，早在1992年建设部在清华大学、同济大学等大学的建筑学等专业进行了工程教育专业认证试点工作，共计完成21所高校的土木工程专业的国际认证。2006年教育部牵头以上海交通大学电气工程及其自动化专业、浙江大学机械工程及自动化专业和清华大学化学工程与工艺专业等专业为试点，启动了全国工程教育专业认证工作。……
