The tumult①in the heart

keeps asking questions.

And then it stops and undertakes②to answer in the same tone③of voice.

No one could tell the difference④.

Uninnocent, these conversations⑤start,

and then engage⑥the senses⑦,

only half-meaning to.

And then there is no choice,

and then there is no sense;

until a name

and all its connotation⑧are the same.

心烦意乱地

不住地问长问短。

时而停下来加以回答

以同样的腔调。

没人说得出有什么不同。

并非无缘无故，

开始这些对话，

随之投入感觉

但只用一半心思。

之后东扯西拉，

之后不痒不痛；

直至说起一个名字

而所有的言外之意都一样。
