1.谈论日期

在询问日期时，同学们要遵循英语的表达习惯和规律，注意不要受汉语习惯的影响。

常考口语⇁

When is your birthday？ 你的生日在什么时候？

My birthday is November 13th. 我的生日是11月13日。

When is Mary's birthday？ 玛丽的生日在什么时候？

Mary's birthday is April 22nd. Mary的生日是4月22日。

How old are you？ 你多大了？

I'm fourteen （years old）. 我14岁了。

背景知识⇁

美国、澳大利亚等国在用数字表达年月时，顺序一般是月、日、年，如：05042007即为2007年5月4日；而英国、加拿大等国则采用日、月、年的次序，如：05042006即为2006年4月5日，应注意加以区别。我们在书写日期时最好用英语来表达月份，如：May 1， 2007或1 Sep， 2007。

2.谈论喜好?

人们在交往过程中都会自然地流露出喜厌之情、好恶之绪。说话者对某一客观事物是“喜欢”还是“不喜欢”与其个人的观点、习惯和兴趣是分不开的，因此没有客观统一的标准。

He likes documentaries as well as Beijing Opera. 他喜欢京剧，也喜欢纪录片。

Some people don't like it， but she thinks it is very interesting. 有些人不喜欢它，但她认为它很有趣。
