摘 要 在大学期间，基础英语和专业英语是两门主要课程。就目前的职业学院英语教育来看，两门课程呈现出相互分离、自成体系的状态。而基础英语和专业英语的相互融合是符合时代发展要求的，更是教育发展的必然趋势。本文从教师能力提升、教学规划及教学模式改革等方面，就基础英语和专业英语融合的必然趋势以及融合的途径给出了客观的意见。

Abstract During college， basic English and professional English are two main courses. In terms of the current English education of Career Academy， the two courses are separated from each other and form a state of self - made system. The mutual integration of basic English and professional English is in line with the requirements of the times， it is the inevitable trend of education development. In this paper， the integration of basic English and professional English is the inevitable trend of the integration of basic English and professional English from the aspects of the improvement of teachers' ability， teaching plan and teaching mode.

1 基础英语和专业英语的教学现状及教育改革的必然趋势

专业英语教学是以基础英语教学为基础，在学生的语言能力达到一定水平之后，根据学生的具体情况所进行的教学过程。专业英语教更加贴近于现实需求，意在进一步提高学生的应用语言能力。在我国当前的英语教学中，基础英语教学和专业英语教学之间交流较少，表现在专业英语教学水平较为落后；而近年来，随着现代社会的发展，市场对外语人才的需求不断增加，同时对外语水平的要求也有所提高。可见，社会需要更多专业性的人才，一般的外语水平已经无法适应社会的发展需要。

1.1 基础英语和专业英语教学相互分离

从本质上讲，基础英语和专业英语均为英语教学，并无实质性的差异，二者本应相互借鉴，相互贯通。但是，基础英语与专业英语在基本的教学内容上差异较大。可以说，基础英语是学好专业英语的重要基础，而专业英语也能促进基础英语的学习。……
