摘 要 古树名木镌刻着时代的烙印，具有重要的历史、文化和纪念意义。根据对广州市10区2市的古树名木资源调查与树龄鉴定，从地域、树种、树龄等方面阐述广州市古树名木资源现状，概括广州市古树名木保护工作的现状和存在的问题，并提出相应的对策，为广州市古树名木资源的保护工作提供理论指导。

Abstract The ancient and famous trees are widely represented as an historic symbol in the city， which is meaningful in history， culture and commemoration. A field investigation was conducted spreading all over the Guangzhou city， and summarized the status of ancient and famous trees through the analysis of regional distribution， species and tree age. The current situation and shortages of the protection on the ancient and famous trees were also explicated and certain countermeasures were proposed as well. This research will provide the feasible theoretical guidance on the protection of the ancient and famous trees of Guangzhou.

古树名木见证着城市的悠久历史，是时代留给我们的宝贵财富，对研究本地区的历史文化、环境变迁、植物分布等方面有着重要意义。根据《全国古树名木普查建档技术规定》[1]，古树是指树龄在100年以上的树木，名木是指珍贵、稀有树种，或有重大历史价值和纪念意义及重要科研价值的树木。古树名木享有“活文物”和“绿色古董”的美誉，逐渐受到各地政府和人们的重视，对古树名木的保护力度在不断加强。但是由于树龄高、树体生长势衰弱、根系输导系统减退、抗逆性差等因素的影响，或遭受人为活动破坏，导致古树名木的数量急剧减少。为此，古树名木的保护工作突显出其重要性。

广州是一座具有2 200多年悠久历史的文化名城，是国务院颁布的全国第一批历史文化名城之一。春秋战国时期建立番禺县，秦国建州，自秦汉发展至今，历经无数朝代变更，孕育和保存了种类丰富的古树名木。本文根据对广州市10区2市的古树名木资源调查与树龄鉴定，从地域、树种、树龄等方面阐述广州市古树名木资源现状，概括广州市古树名木保护工作的现状和存在的问题，并针对问题提出相应对策，以期为广州市古树名木资源保护工作提供理论指导。……
