2012年11月24-26日，应中联部邀请，由非洲佛得角非洲独立党和争取民主运动两党中高层干部组成的佛得角联合政党干部考察团一行20人，在中联部人员陪同下来渝考察访问。

11月25日下午，重庆市政府外事侨务办公室主任朱晞颜在市外侨大楼会见并宴请了代表团一行。朱晞颜对佛得角朋友们的到访表示热烈欢迎，并向客人介绍了重庆的经济社会发展情况。佛得角执政党佛得角非洲独立党中央组织和培训书记马尔科斯·福图纳托·奥利维拉和佛得角争取民主运动全国委员会委员马里奥·戈麦斯·费尔南德斯分别代表两党考察团感谢重庆方面的热情接待，并表示将努力为增进两国的传统友谊和互利合作做出贡献。在渝期间，代表团还参观了市规划展览馆、公租房、磁器口等地，并对重庆的快速发展赞不绝口。

佛得角位于北大西洋的佛得角群岛上，东距非洲大陆最西点佛得角（塞内加尔境内）500多公里，扼欧洲与南美、南非间交通要冲，包括圣安唐、圣尼古拉、萨尔、博阿维什塔、福古、圣地亚哥等15个大小岛屿，分北面的向风群岛和南面的背风群岛两组。佛得角虽然缺乏天然资源，但由于人口少，政治稳定，旅游业蓬勃，已成为非洲的安逸国家，生活质量位居非洲各国前列。除了旅游业外，主要经济来源还有移民汇款、农业等。最大贸易伙伴为葡萄牙，其他贸易伙伴有欧盟、美国、巴西和中国。2008年7月23日佛得角正式加入世贸组织。

佛得角非洲独立党（Partido Africano da Independência de Cabo Verde）：简称独立党，执政党。1981年与几佛非洲独立党分裂后成立。现有党员11000余人。1975年佛独立后执政，1991年选举失败成为在野党，2001年该党在议会选举中获胜，重新成为执政党。2006年议会选举中再次获胜。主张推进佛得角民主进程，建立社会正义。1992年加入社会党国际。2005年2月，该党召开中央委员会，选举产生新任总书记。主席若泽·马里亚·佩雷拉·内韦斯，总书记马里奥·马托斯（Mário Matos）。

Zhu Xiyan Met with Joint Political Democracy Party Cadres of Cape Verde

On November 24th—26th,2012,20 senior cadres of democracy party joint cadres of political parties in Cape Verde that are formed by the African Party for the independence of Cape Verde visited Chongqing, accompanied by Jia Chen, deputy director general of the Fourth office of International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee.

In the afternoon of November 25,Zhu Xiyan, Director of the Foreign and overseas Chinese Affairs Offi ce of the Chongqing Municipal Government met with the delegation. He warmly welcomed them from Cape Verde and briefly introduced economic and social development of Chongqing. The delegation appreciated the hospitality of Chongqing government and will strive to contribute to enhancing traditional friendship and mutually benefi cial cooperation between the two sides. Tang Wen, Deputy Director of the Chongqing Municipal Foreign Affairs Offi ce, who was also present and joined the meeting, the delegation also visited the city planning Exhibition Hall, the public renting housing, Ciqikou and highly praised the rapid development of Chongqing.

Cape Verde is located on the Cape Verde Islands in the North Atlantic,Cape Verde lacks natural resources,but due to the small population,political and tourism are stable and it has became a comfortable country in the ease African whose quality of life is ranking the very front of African States. Besides tourism, the main economic source also includes migrant remittances, agriculture etc. The largest trade partner is Portugal and other trading partners are the European Union, the United States, Brazil and China. On July 23, 2008 Cape Verde formally acceded to the WTO.
