摘要：机房是数据中心重要的基础设施，可以比喻为数据中心的摇篮。它是指在一个物理空间内实现信息的集中处理、存储、传输、交换、管理。计算机设备、服务器设备、网络设备、存储设备等是数据中心机房的核心设备。一旦机房环境设备出现故障，就会影响整个计算机系统运行，对数据传输、存储及系统运行的可靠性构成威胁，如事故严重又不能及时处理，就可能损坏硬件设备，造成严重后果。机房环境监控系统主要是针对机房所有的设备及环境进行集中监控和管理的，其监控对象构成机房的各个子系统。机房监控系统基于网络综合布线系统，采用集散监控，在机房监视室放置监控主机，运行监控软件，以统一的界面对各个子系统集中监控。机房监控系统实时监视各系统设备的运行状态及工作参数，发现部件故障或参数异常，即时采取多媒体动画、语音、电话、短消息等多种报警方式，记录历史数据和报警事件。
