句子：最近，中俄两国举行了联合反恐军事演习。

误译：China and Russia have recently conducted a united anti-terror military exercise.

正译：1) China and Russia have recently conducted a joint anti-terror military exercise. 2) China and Russia have recently held a joint anti-terrorist military exercise.

解释：联合军事演习是两个或多个国家为了一个共同目的联合起来一起举行的军事演习。参与国家相互配合，相互协调，但是各自保持独立性。united 具有 united as one 或united into one的含义，即“成为一体”。英语没有united military exercise的搭配。但是英语可以说 joint military exercise，因为 joint 的意思是involving two or more people together，只是涉及到双方或多个方面，而没有强调“成为一体”。

“演习”的第一个意思是“用于军事目的按照预定方案进行的实地练习”。英语可以译为 manoeuvre, exercise, drill。例如：

1. 陆军正在沙漠中进行军事演习。The army is on manoeuvres in the desert.

5. 每年，日本举行大规模防地震演习。Every year, Japan holds massive anti-earthquake drills.

6. 这些警察在一次防洪演习中扛沙袋加固堤坝。The policemen carried sandbags to reinforce a bank during an anti-flood drill
