The total profit of dyeing and printing industry decreased by 101.80% year-on-year from January to February

Affected by the COVID-19, the dyeing and printing enterprises postponed the resumption of work from January to February 2020, and the logistics was not smooth. The production and operation of enterprises were affected. The output, main business income and profits dropped sharply compared with the same period last year. The pressure of the operation of the industry increased further, and the development to high quality was more urgent.

From January to February 2020, the output of dyed and printed fabrics of dyeing and printing enterprises above designated size was 4.913 billion meters, a year-on-year decrease of 22.42%.

From January to February 2020, the ratio of the three expenses for dyeing and printing enterprises above designated size was 9.39%, an increase of 1.07 percentage points from the same period in 2019. Among them, cotton dyeing and printing enterprises accounted for 8.87% and chemical fiber dyeing and printing enterprises accounted for 14.08%. Cost and profit margin was -0.05%, a decrease of 2.22 percentage points from the same period in 2019; a sales profit margin was -0.05%, a decrease of 2.15 percentage points from the same period in 2019; the turnover rate of finished products was 2.05 times/year, a decrease of 33.20% year-on-year; the fund turnover rate was 1.03 times/year, a year-on-year decrease of 37.41%; the total asset turnover rate was 0.10 times/year, a year-on-year decrease of 32.08%.

From January to February 2020, 1,560 dyeing and printing enterprises above designated size achieved a main business income of 24.706 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 29.88%; a total profit of -13 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 101.80%. The export delivery value was 4.299 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 23.90%.

From January to February 2020, the number of dyeing and printing enterprises above designated size was 760, with the percentage of loss-making enterprises is 48.72%, an increase of 16.15 percentage points over the same period in 2019. The total loss of loss-making enterprises was 1.086 billion yuan, an increase of 46.41% over the same period in 2019.
