THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ROSE IN THE WORLD FOR YOU

China Southern Airlines and ProEcuador - the Ecuadorian Export and Investment Promotion Bureau will co-host the campaign “An Ecuadorian Rose Blooms Your Journey Beyond the Heights” on March 8th - the International Working Women’s Day of 2017. Female passengers on 50 fl ights of China Southern will be gifted with a precious Ecuadorian preserved rose. Both the airline and the bureau hope to pay their respects to women with the fi nest roses in the world.

世界上最美的玫瑰送给您

2017年3月8日，国际妇女节，南航联合厄瓜多尔出口与投资促进局举办“厄瓜多尔玫瑰，绽放你超越天际的旅程”活动，向50个航班上的女性乘客赠送稀有珍贵的厄瓜多尔永生玫瑰，以世界顶级的花朵向女性致意。

From what we have learned, the event will take place on China Southern fl ights departing from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to 13 domestic destinations including Beijing, Changchun, Chengdu, Chongqing, Dalian, Nanjing, Qingdao, Shanghai, Tianjin, Wuhan, Wuxi, Zhengzhou, Xi'an, etc. More than 10,000 passengers will witness this event. Every female passenger on the chosen fl ights will receive an elegant bracelet made of Ecuadorian preserved roses. Flight attendants on those fl ights will also wear brooches made of such roses. ProEcuador will also provide a unique fl avour of instant cocoa drink for all passengers aboard. We expect that more than 6300 Ecuadorian preserved roses will be used for in-fl ight activities and more than 4500 fresh roses for the decoration of live events and VIP rooms.

The Ecuadorian Rose has already made its connection with China Southern Airlines in 2016. On March 8th of 2016, China Southern Airlines and ProEcuador hosted “An Ecuadorian rose for the woman who dreams high” Campaign.

The campaign was very well received. Travellers expressed their surprise and were so pleased when they received their colourful roses. This campaign was covered by 51 Chinese media companies including the Xinhua Agency, China News and China Daily, 31 Latin American media agencies including EFE and EcuaVisa, as well as 7 Ecuadorian national TV stations. As a result, the campaign reached China, Latin America and Spanish-speaking countries in Europe.

Compared to last year's event, the 2017 campaign expands its coverage to 50 fl ights. We will not only gift female passengers with the Ecuadorian preserved roses, but also provide an Ecuadorian fl avour instant cocoa drink for all passengers. Since March 1st of 2016, Ecuador has implemented a visa-free travel policy for Chinese citizens. Chinese travellers can stay in Ecuador for 90 days in total each year without a visa. Now China Southern has worked with SkyTeam members such as KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, so that China Southern passengers can transit via Europe to tour in Ecuador.

Why the Ecuadorian Rose is breathtakingly beautiful？

It is because those roses are cultivated in “the middle of the world”: Ecuador. The country is also called “the closest country to the sun”. It has a privileged geographical position that allows roses to receive sunlight for 12 hours per day with a stable and perfect temperature for their growth. In addition, many of the Ecuadorian roses are planted on the slopes of volcanoes where the soil is rich in minerals. The Ecuadorian Rose has long but resilient stem, colourful petals, and the roses remain fresh after they have been cut which makes these flowers famous around the world. Such roses are considered the most beautiful in the world. Ecuadorian preserved roses are even more special because they are both naturally made, and easy to preserve for many years.
