The Yellow Mountain

The Yellow Mountain is a place of great interests①. There are lots of tourists seeing sights everyday②.

Years ago， many tourists paid no attention to environment protection. They littered everywhere， throwing waste paper， plastic bags and tins all of③ the place. Besides this， they killed animals， caught birds， dug up trees and pick④ flowers. Whats more， they often made a fire cook⑤ in the forest. That was dangerous.

Great changes have been taken place⑥ here. Now when tourists leave， they take away their rubbish with them. They no long⑦ hurt animals. Plants are also well protected. All the tourists carry their own lunch in order not to start forest fires. We must be thankful for their good deeds.

1. 优点：

本文小作者采用了坏与好相对比的方式，增强了文章的感染力。文章语句通顺，语言表达不拘一格，运用了多种复杂的句型表达意思。但作者在词语的用法上要多下功夫。总之，这是一篇不错的学生习作。

2. 需要修改的地方：

① interests改为interest。interest作“兴趣，趣味”讲时，是不可数名词，没有复数；

② everyday改为every day。everyday是形容词，意思是“每天的；日常的”，只能作定语；every day为名词短语，在句中作时间状语；

③ of改为over。表示“遍及……”，应用all over；

④ pick改为picked。前后并列的动词在形式上应该保持一致；

⑤ cook改为to cook。made a fire意为“生火”，这里的make不是使役动词，后面应接 带to的不定式作目的状语；

⑥ have been taken place改为have taken place。take place意为“发生”，是不及物动词，没有被动语态；

⑦ long改为longer。no longer意思是“不再……”。

按中考英语作文满分20分的标准，本文修改前可得16分。
