I rode a horse called Nansi through some of the 1500 square kilometresof the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. Nansi was a Welsh Cob andthey are one of the world’s oldest types of horses and live wild in the nationalpark. It was nearly twenty years since I had ridden a horse.

We saw some lovely views, including the famous Sugar Loaf Mountain. When we stopped for a picnic, I got off Nansi and fell on the floor because mylegs hurt. Why hadn’t I told the truth about my riding?

We went through the quiet forest to the end of the trees and went down ahill. I didn’t have to worry, because Nansi knew where to go. We went into anopen area and raced over the grass.

Before going into the pub where we were staying, we brushed thehorses. We ate a lot and then went to bed, very tired.
