The solar system is a family. It includes the sun and everything orbits around it. They are the eight planets， their moons and so on. Let’s have an amazing adventure through our solar system.
I am the sun. I’m a burning ball of fire. I’m very big. I can even hold a million Earths. Lives on Earth depend on me. I give them warmth and light.
Next， let’s meet the eight planets that orbit around the sun. Mercury， Venus， Earth and Mars are rocky planets， while Jupiter， Saturn， Uranus and Neptune are made of gas. Let’s have a look！
The Eight Planets：
I am Mercury. During the day， it is very hot on me. But I’m very cold at night.
I am Venus. I’m the same size as Earth， but I spin much more slowly. I’m the hottest and brightest planet in the solar system！
I am Mars. I have big volcanoes. It is very cold on me. I have a very high mountain. I’m 3 times higher than Mount Everest.
