“Belarus and China share common socialist values, and the foundation of these values serves the interests of the people,” stated Dmitry Emelyanov in his address, adding that the Consulate-General of the Republic of Belarus in Chongqing was established two years ago, and that they were pleased to see Chongqing playing an increasingly important role in the development of friendly relations between Belarus and China. He also expressed the hope that they and Chongqing Municipal Peoples Government would continue to strengthen economic and trade investment and deepen Belarus-China collaboration in science, technology, education, tourism, and other people-to-people fields.

The serene life brimming with joyous laughter and carefree singing and dancing on the banks of the Bug River is abruptly disrupted by the sudden bombardment of warplanes, along with the continuous sound of gunfire lingering in the air. What choices will the 8,000 Soviet Red Army soldiers make when facing the dilemma between life and death, between forsaking and upholding their beliefs? The film captivated all viewers, immersing them completely in the world it depicted. With a unique perspective, the film showcased the indomitable spirit and heroism of the Soviet Red Army soldiers, as well as breathtaking war scenes and heart-wrenching moments of separation and sacrifice, stirring the souls of the viewers deeply.

At the event, there was also an exhibition featuring paintings by Belarusian artists. The exhibition displayed exquisite masterpieces from the National Arts Museum of the Republic of Belarus, including Belarusian Land, Heart of Belarusian Blue Lake, Circle Dance, and National Post Office, allowing visitors to experience the unique charm of Belarusian art and culture at close range.
