The side effects of global warming are alarming， so it is high time that we should take effective measures to save our planet. First， it would be helpful to use cleaner energy. Online learning

Against the backdrop of the COVID?19 pandemic， online learning is becoming more and more popular. With the rise of online learning， we had a heated discussion over its effectiveness.

Some hold the view that online learning has various advantages. To begin with， students can learn in the comfort of their own home. Moreover， it makes it possible for us to learn at our own pace. Lastly， students can focus more on the tasks online by putting more effort into them.

However， some point out the disadvantages of online learning. For one thing， students are more likely to be distracted by social media during the class; for another， learning online leaves us with a sense of being disconnected from our peers.

Looking at these points， I hold the opinion that despite its disadvantages， online learning is effective during the pandemic as long as the students can be more self?disciplined.
