Dear Sir or Madam,

Having learned that your company needs some part-time salesmen,I am pleased to recommend Li Ming to you,one of my schoolmates. Not only does Li Ming have a broad knowledge of the products sold by your company, but he has worked as a part-time salesman. He has a good command of English,so the communication between your headquarters and him will be smooth.Furthermore, his strong spirit of teamwork is highly praised by us,which is closely related to his intelligence and diligence, coupled with good competence and a pleasant personality.

I would be most grateful if you would like to consider my recommendation. For more information, you can refer to his résumé and application letter.

My favorite person

Good morning, everyone. It'smy great privilege to make a speech on my favorite person. My favorite person is an aged man,of whom I couldn't tell the name.

Mr Unknown is a normal person with quiet dedication. He is always moving me in a silent but powerful way.The first time I came across him,he was crouching on the grassland, using a shovel to remove dog poop, but no dogs were in sight then. This happened several times before I found he was actually not a dog owner. He has always been volunteering to do this in our neighbourhood for a cleaner environment. It is his acts of kindness and sheer persistence that touch me deeply.

Had I a chance to vote the Model of the Year,I would support him unconditionally.

That's all.Thank you.

主题语境3：周围的环境

Dear Peter,

I'm glad to know that you are going to visit a village of our country this summer holiday.I have selected some pictures of my hometown,Xinyang, for you, through which you can take a close look at it.

My hometown, which lies at the foot of the Dabieshan Mountain,is abundant in natural resources. There are many picturesque places like the Nanwan Lake, the Anshan Park, and the Jigong Mountain in my hometown.Of course, you can taste the local snacks and Xinyang tea,for which Xinyang is called the Capital of Tea.With convenient transportation, you can easily go anywhere as you wish. What's more, the local people are hospitable and undoubtedly you will feel at home here.If you hope to find a perfect place to travel to,my hometown is the very one to be.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Yours,

Li Hua
