The interviewer： Today we have three young inventors who are going to introduce us to their new invention. Welcome！ Liu Zhaochen， Wang Yue and Luan Jingcheng！ Our audiences can't wait to learn about your new shoes！

The interviewer： So what is the name of your creation？ And for what purpose you invented it？

Liu Zhaochen： It is a new type of sandals. You can call it “sled shoes”. It refers to sliding shoes which can be worn when walking in muddy river courses， snow fields or seaside beaches.

The interviewer： How did you come up with the idea of inventing such kind of shoes？

Wang Yue： Walking on the muddy river course， or on the slushy （泥泞的） beach can be very difficult and people can easily get hurt if they fall. The invention aims to deal with the situation and provide a new type of shoes which are convenient and safe to walk with.

We want to prevent the shoes from sinking into the mud by increasing the contact area between the soles and the ground. To keep sand and water out of the shoes， we add inner covers. Also， we believe that they must be light and safe for people to walk with.

The interviewer： I see your valid intentions， so could you give us some details about your operating process？

Luan Jingcheng： In fact， we've got a lot of help from our physics teacher. We used two plastic plates， an upper plate and a bottom plate. They are lighter in material and larger in contact area compared to the regular soles， so when walking on a muddy flat， it is not easy to fall into the mud. The two plates share the same size but the lower one is thicker as it has to rub against the ground.

Liu Zhaochen： We also installed two separate shoe covers in front of and behind the upper plate. The covers are sealed to prevent outside water from leaking into the interior. We have fixed airbags installed under the front cover. The top of the airbag is fitted with an air tube. We add a switch at the end of the tube to make sure the air pressure of the fixed airbag is constant.

The interviewer： We can see the structure is very delicate. So is it easy to put on them？

Luan Jingcheng： Yes， very much， you can first put your feet into two shoe covers， and then inflate the airbag. When you feel your feet are fixed， turn off the switch.
