泰国9月起解除国内航班禁飞令

泰国交通部发布消息称,泰国民航局从9月1日起解除国内疫情严重地区航班禁飞令。根据新规,民航飞机允许出入最高级别疫情管控区及其他区域,但乘客须严格遵守出行目的地的防疫规定,包括:在手机内下载防疫应用程序、到指定酒店隔离、出示新冠病毒检测结果阴性证明和新冠疫苗接种证明等。

新加坡国际水彩节 “恢复之旅”画展

8月24日至26日,新加坡视觉艺术中心举办了第一届IWS新加坡国际水彩节“恢复之旅”画展,来自60多个国家地区的水彩画家展出约240幅作品。展览邀请6位国际水彩大师为评审员,设23个特别感谢奖,1金2银3铜,5个荣誉奖,51个功绩奖和70个提名奖。本届展览是国际水彩协会有史以来最多奖项的画展。

菲律宾继续延长针对多国的入境禁令

8月31日,菲律宾总统发言人哈里·洛克宣布,总统杜特尔特已经批准继续延长针对印度、巴基斯坦、孟加拉国、斯里兰卡、尼泊尔、阿联酋、阿曼、泰国、马来西亚和印尼等10个国家的入境禁令,期限是9月1日到9月5日。此前,为防止德尔塔变异毒株的传播,菲律宾从4月开始陆续禁止有上述国家旅行史的人士入境。

马来西亚中国文学读者俱乐部成立

8月17日,由中国作家协会与马来西亚汉文化中心联合发起的马来西亚中国文学读者俱乐部在线上举行成立典礼,以促进中马两国文学交流。马来西亚中国文学读者俱乐部举行首场读书会——马来文版《红楼梦》线上读书分享会。分享会主题为“从马来西亚社会、家庭、爱情、文化交流的本土角度看《红楼梦》”,邀请中马专家学者分享《红楼梦》的读后感。

甘肃在老挝举办文化和旅游宣传周

8月16日,甘肃省文化和旅游厅、老挝中国文化中心共同主办的庆祝中老建交60周年暨“交响丝路·如意甘肃”文化和旅游宣传周在老挝中国文化中心开幕。通过此次文化和旅游宣传周,全面推介甘肃文化和旅游资源,进一步增进老挝人民对甘肃文化和旅游的了解和认知。活动以图片展、文创展、非遗展等形式全方位推介甘肃文化和旅游资源,共展出20余类180多种非遗展品和文创产品。

“中华文化大乐园”举行开园仪式

8月16日,2021线上“中华文化大乐园”(老挝、柬埔寨园)开园仪式在太原旅游职业学院举行。活动旨在寓教于乐,让身在海外的华裔青少年能够增加对中华文化的了解和认识。此次活动为期12天,紧扣“感知中国历史文化、体现山西文化特色”主题,开设国画、书法、历史、乐器、民歌、剪纸、经典诗词朗诵等中华才艺课程,通过直播和录播相结合的形式,让学员在家中领略光辉灿烂的中华文化。

新加坡美食节在中国7个城市举行

8月27日至9月16日,香格里拉集团携手新加坡旅游局在中国7座城市9家酒店推出“美‘食每刻·新加坡”美食节。今年的美食节不仅开展了一系列线上线下体验项目,还与香格里拉集团合作,让美食爱好者足不出户就能感受狮城美食的独特魅力。美食节期间,香格里拉集团9家酒店分别推出了餐酒搭配晚宴,展现由众多名厨精心烹饪的经典菜品。

第二届新加坡华乐节将在9月举行

新加坡华乐节筹委会日前宣布,第二届新加坡华乐节将以线上线下相结合的形式,于9月3日至30日举办,将有40场免费的精彩华乐演出和讲座等节目呈现给观众。本届华乐节的主题是“团结华乐人,发扬华乐情”,具体节目将以“器乐学会展风采”“冠名携手谱华彩”“奏响世界心连心”和“与民共乐新篇章”四个系列为主轴开展。

柬埔寨计划申办东南亚足球锦标赛

8月17日,据柬埔寨足球协会主席邵速透露,柬埔寨计划申办将于2021年12月举行的2020“铃木杯”东南亚足球锦标赛,并计划在刚刚建成的“德佐”国家体育场承办这一足球赛事。由于新冠肺炎疫情的影响,东南亚足球协会竞赛委员会计划将该锦标赛举办时间推迟到2021年12月,预计将在2021年12月5日至2022年1月1日举行。

越南两部影片入选釜山国际电影节

8月13日,据第24届釜山国际电影节亚洲项目市场(以下简称APM)组委会消息,越南两部影片《记忆碎片:水》和《如果木头能哭,它就会流下鲜血》已入选2021年釜山国际电影节亚洲项目市场。今年的APM電影节将于2021年10月12日至14日举行,组委会将从来自15个国家和地区的429部参加影片中选出26部具有潜力的艺术片。

缅甸举办世界大象日节庆活动

8月13日,为庆祝8月12日世界大象日,缅甸各省、邦内开设的22个大象营地纷纷为大象们举办自助餐节庆活动。由于正处在新冠疫情蔓延的高峰期,不举行群众性的集会节庆活动,大象营地的负责人、员工们及大象饲养管理员们为这些大象提供自助餐服务。

越航成功试行“电子健康护照”

8月12日,越南国家航空公司的VN310号航班从河内内排国际机场飞往日本东京成田国际机场,全部乘客都使用国际航空运输协会旅行通行证登机,这是越航参加使用该通行证的首个航班。“电子健康护照”是越南与国际航空运输协会于今年5月签署的合作项目中的一部分。越航希望电子健康护照将协助恢复国际航班,为航空业和旅游业的复苏带来生机。

Pigeon pair panda cubs born in Chinas Shaanxi

August 4, 2021 (Xinhua) -- A captive giant panda gave birth to a pigeon pair of cubs in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, provincial forestry bureau said Wednesday. The giant panda, named “Ya Ya,” gave birth to a male cub weighing 110 grams and a female cub weighing 137 grams at Qinling Giant Panda Research Center on Saturday afternoon. Ya Ya, born in 2009, has been involved in breeding and mating since 2017 but has suffered miscarriages for three consecutive years.

Tourism operators still upbeat amid new infections

August 5, 2021 (China Daily) -- Tourism operators remain optimistic about the long-term prospects of the domestic industry, despite the recent resurgence of COVID-19 cases. In the first six months of the year, the tourism market showed stable recovery, with total domestic trips growing just over 100 percent year-on-year to more than 1.87 billion. The figures show that the domestic trips were roughly 61 percent of those taken in 2019 before the first COVID-19 outbreak.

Flood-damaged A-level scenic spots in central China undergoing repairs

Swiss tourism sector prepares for return of Chinese travelers

August 23, 2021 (China Daily) -- Tourism offices in Switzerland are “planting the seed” to prepare for a possible return of Chinese travelers in the Alpine country as the industry “suffered” from a sharp drop of overseas tourists, a tourism official has said. China was the third biggest market for Swiss tourism in 2019, and the Chinese tourists accounted for 101,000 overnight stays, a number that has been reduced to some 12,000 due to the pandemic in 2020.

Online tour of Liaoning kicks off in Seoul

Chinas major airports to apply RFID luggage tracking by end of year

August 12, 2021 (CGTN) -- Chinas major airports will enhance their luggage management service capabilities by applying radio frequency identification (RFID) technology in baggage tracking, according to civil aviation authorities. Within the year, all major airports with an annual passenger volume of more than 10 million will apply RFID, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) says.

New international airport opens in East Chinas Qingdao

August 13, 2021 (CGTN) -- Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, a new airport in east Chinas Shandong Province, went into operation on Thursday, Qingdao Airport Group said. The airport is ranked as 4F, the highest in Chinas airport class capable of handling large aircraft, including Airbus A380, the worlds largest passenger airliner, the group said.

In uncharted territory

August 24, 2021 (China Daily) -- Heizhugou National Forest Park is dubbed Chinas equivalent to Bermuda Triangle, due to its similar placing at a latitude of around 30 degrees north and also the mysterious cases of missing people that occur in the region. In late June, extreme explorer Liu Yong led a 10-strong expedition, finishing an unprecedented four-day journey along a perilous route in Heizhugou, in Ebian Yi autonomous county in Sichuan provinces Leshan city. Heizhugou has five exploration routes, but its the first time that people have successfully completed the 53-kilometer route that has the phenomenon of a geomagnetic anomaly. They were the first to conquer the Luosuoyida Valley, which literally means “Death Valley” in the language of the Yi ethnic group.
