Have you ever heard of a ‘big pot’ lying in a mountain village in Guizhou province？

On April 28， 2020， a piece of news went viral on social networking sites， the ‘big pot’， FAST， nicknamed ‘China’s Eye of Heaven’， embarked on its search for extraterrestrial intelligence. Without exception， all my friends commented saying： “do not answer！ Do not answer！ Do not answer！” With FAST joining the cause， mankind can browse the universe more deeply than ever before. This is the best evidence of China’s advanced technology in astronomy.

The assemblage of each individual sacrificing in the program can be called a ‘team’ in a far-reaching sense---- the team China of science and technology in a far-reaching sense.

Nowadays all works of life and every aspect of our society are thriving. In 2020， China was the only country which showed positive economic growth and made loads of achievements in scientific research.

Last year， the first Mars exploration missionhas been carried out bythe Tianwen series. Fendouzhe， or Striver， a Chinese submarine reached the deepest place on Earth， setting a national divingrecord. Also in 2020， a Chineseresearchteamachievedquantumcomputationaladvantage，a significant computingbreakthrough， indicating anoverwhelmingspeedup in Chinese history.

However， we still ought to think of one question----how can weimprove our scientificandtechnologicalstrength？

In recent years， the nationwide trend has risen in many aspects----we have national fitness， national learning， national law popularization， national anti-epidemic. However， we are not familiar with ‘national science’， right？ The ‘national science’I refer to here is not only national scientific levels， it should be the spirit， penetrating every area of the nation’s life.

There are still countless numbers of mysteries remaining to be found. For we Chinese people， it’s high time that we should have more cohesion， flock the best of the best from all quarters then enlargethe team China of science and technology. Chairman Mao once said， ‘a single spark can start a prairie fire.’What if all the people with diverse scientific or creative ideas team up with each other？ I am firmly convinced that a spectacular banquet of science and technology will turn up. At that time everyone can get involved in this team in their own ways， using science and technology as the most shining light to illuminate the unknown road ahead， and enlighten our future.

We will make China， and the entire world a more wonderful place as we reach ever higher dimensions and depict our splendid scientific forest.
