Cabbage

A rabbit hops into a butchers shop and says，“Have you got any cabbages？” The butcher says that he doesnt sell cabbages and the rabbit hops off. The next day the same rabbit hops into the same butchers shop and says，“Have you got any cabbages？” The butcher， slightly peeved， says “Look， I told you yesterday—Im a butcher， I dont sell cabbages， now go away！” The rabbit hops off.

The next day the rabbit hops into the butchers shop again and says， “Have you got any cabbages？ The butcher is very angry now and snaps， “No， I havent got any cabbages！If you come in here again asking for some cabbages， I am gonna nail your bloody ears to the floor！” the rabbit hops out the door.

The next day the rabbit hops into the butchers shop and asks， “Have you got any nail？” The butcher replies， “ No.” The rabbit says “Have you got any cabbages？”

卷心菜

一只兔子蹦蹦跳跳地進入了一家肉店，说道：“你这儿有卷心菜吗？”屠夫说他不卖卷心菜，兔子蹦蹦跳跳地离开了。过了一天，这只兔子又蹦蹦跳跳地进入了这家肉店，说道： “你这儿有卷心菜吗？”屠夫有点儿不高兴了，说道：“我昨天跟你说了——我是个屠夫，我不卖卷心菜，马上滚开！”兔子蹦蹦跳跳地离开了。

过了一天，兔子又一次蹦蹦跳跳地进入了这家肉店，说道：“你这儿有卷心菜吗？” 屠夫现在是完全生气了，大吼道：“没有，我这儿没有什么卷心菜！如果你再进来要卷心菜，我就把你那该死的耳朵钉在地板上！”那只兔子蹦跳着出了大门。

过了一天，兔子蹦蹦跳跳地进入了这家肉店，问道：“你有钉子吗？”屠夫回答说：“没有。”兔子说：“你这儿有卷心菜吗？”

Whats your name？

A very strict officer was talking to some new soldiers whom he had to train. He had never seen them before， so he began：“My name is Stone， and Im even harder than stone， so do what I tell you or there will be trouble. Dont try any tricks with me， and then well get on well together.”

Then he went to each soldier one after another and asked him his name.“Speak loudly so that everyone can hear you clearly，”he said， “and dont forget to call me ‘sir.”

Each soldier told him his name， until he came to the last one. This man remained silent， and so Captain Stone shouted at him，“When I ask you a question， answer it！ Ill ask you again： whats you name， soldier？”

The soldier was very nervous， but at last he replied， “My name is Stonebreaker， sir.”

你叫什么名字？

有一位很严厉的军官在对一群交由他训练的新兵训话。他以前从没见过这群新兵，于是他开始自我介绍：“我的名字叫Stone（石头），事实上，我甚至比石头更强硬。这就是我为什么要告诉你们我名字的原因。不要试图对我玩什么花招，这样我们就能很好相处了。”

接着他开始走到每个士兵前面问他们的名字。“说大声点儿，让每个人都能听清楚。另外，不要忘记称呼我为长官。”他说。

每个士兵都对他说了自已的名字。他走到最后一位士兵面前时，这个士兵保持着沉默。于是Stone队长对他喊道，“当我问你问题的时候，要回答！我再问一遍，你的名字，士兵？”

那个新兵很紧张，但最后他还是回答了。“我的名字是Stonebreaker （碎石机），长官。”
