My husband was on a flight and as they were nearing their destination，  the captains voice came through the speaker announcing bad news — “There has been a（n） _1_ on the plane.”

Shock and _2_ were the passengers first reactions. When _3_ looked back，  they saw the dead mans son _4_ silently.  He looked so _5_ with his dads body lying in the plane.

My husband， having lost both parents over the past year， _6_ his initial shock and took action. He asked the flight attendant for an empty _7_ and he went round to all the passengers and asked for any expression of

_8_. Most people gave money.  Another gentleman _9_ with another empty container and helped him as the first container was getting _10_.

The outpouring of help was _11_. Whatever was _12_， my husband and the other gentleman went _13_ to the deceased father and handed it to the grieving son.

“Little Annie” Sullivan， as she was called when she was young， was no stranger to hardship.
