摘  要： 家猫饮水、排尿较少，泌尿系统疾病高发.肾茶是一种传统中药，具有良好的利尿作用.本研究采用10只家猫进行实验，结果显示：在饲粮中添加1%（质量分数）肾茶可以显著增加家猫的饮水量，降低血清尿素氮含量，但不影响家猫的体重和采食量.这表明肾茶有增加家猫排尿量、减少其泌尿系统疾病的潜在作用.

The effect of Chinese herbal medicineOrthosiphon aristatuson water drinking and serum urea content of domestic cat in summer

Abstract： Domestic cat （Felis silvestris catus） drinks less water and urinates less，and has high incidence of urinary system diseases.Orthosiphon aristatusis a traditional Chinese herbal medicine with very good diuretic effect.In this study，10 domestic cats were used for testing.The results showed that the addition of 1% （mass fraction）O.aristatuscan significantly increase the water consumption of domestic cats and reduce their serum urea nitrogen content，but does not affect their body weight and feed intake.This test shows thatO.aristatushas potential for increasing urinary output and reducing urinary system diseases of domestic cats.

隨着人们生活水平的不断提高和家庭规模的缩小，饲养宠物已经成为越来越多都市人生活的一部分.中国的宠物消费也随之形成规模，同时展现巨大潜力.国内宠物市场已进入一个高速发展的时期，宠物消费需求不断扩大.猫作为一种性情温驯、观赏性强的动物，广受人们的喜爱.但猫本身饮水较少，相应地排尿也较少，现代城市家庭饲养宠物猫时，为了清洁卫生，又以干性猫粮喂食为主^[1]，因此，患肾结石等泌尿系统疾病的宠物猫越来越多^[2]，发病率约占猫病例的10%左右，且还有上升趋势^[3].

肾茶（Orthosiphon aristatus），又名爪哇茶（Java tea）、猫须草，为多年生草本植物.在我国，作为一种治疗肾病的传统中草药，肾茶在云南、广西、海南等地区区广泛种植，已有上千年历史^[4].在东南亚，肾茶叶片被作为类似我国绿茶一样的茶饮品，其安全性已得到充分证实^[5].肾茶在我国用于治疗肾病的历史由来已久^[6-7].近年来，人们对其有效成分进行深入研究，发现其含……
