剧情简介：这是一个关于二分之一“魔法”的故事：伊恩和巴利想要让死去的父亲复活一天，结果只完成了一半魔法，复原了父亲身体的一半，为了寻回整个父亲，兄弟俩拿着父亲送的魔法棒，踏上了限时24小时的寻找魔法石之途。哥哥巴利熟知各种魔法知识，弟弟伊恩拥有魔法师的天赋，一路上，在哥哥的帮助下，弟弟学会了各种魔法，并利用这些魔法克服了各种困难。过程中弟弟发现原来他特别想要与父亲一起做的每件事情，他眼中一事无成的哥哥都陪他一起做过，他的哥哥早已承担了父亲的职责，给了他无法替代的深情。最后父亲短暂地出现又消失了，弟弟没能见到，哥哥代替父亲拥抱了他。令人难忘的是弟弟对哥哥说的那句话：“我从未拥有过父亲，但我一直拥有你。”

伊恩16岁生日那天，打开了去世多年的父亲留给他的礼物。这件不寻常的礼物为他打开了魔法世界的大门。两兄弟会用这个魔法做什么呢？
