On November 1, 2020, the 11th Liuzhou International Viewing Stone Festival opened in Liukong cultural and creative park of Liuzhou Oriental dream workshop. The theme of the festival is "the charming Dragon City, the viewing stone capital of China". Li Zhijian, Secretary General of Viewing Stone Association of China; Daivei Jia, vice president of Collectors Association of China; Jiao Yaoguang, deputy director of Standing Committee of Liuzhou Municipal People's Congress; Meng Qipeng, vice mayor of Liuzhou Municipal People's government; Yao Yinyi, vice chairman of Liuzhou CPPCC; Kang Yancheng, party secretary and Chairman of Liuzhou culture and tourism group; Xu guangbin, vice president of Liuzhou bank as well as famous stone admirers, delegation guests and enterprise representatives of the sub Association in Guangxi participated in the Liuzhou International Stone Festival. Wei Yongjun, Deputy Secretary General of Liuzhou Municipal People's government, presided over the opening ceremony.

Li Zhijian, Secretary General of Viewing Stone Association of China said in his speech that mountains without stones are not uncommon, water without stones is not clear, halls without stones are not elegant.Chinese viewing stone appreciation culture has a long history. Although it has undergone historical changes for thousands of years, it has been passed on from generation to generation. Since the reform opening up, the science, culture and artistry of viewing stone appreciating have developed and achieved a great leap forward, which makes this wonderful flower of Chinese nation's excellent traditional culture glow with youth and vitality.

Today, the biennial Liuzhou viewing stone Festival has become one of the most representative cultural events in China's viewing stone appreciation circles. This year, in the post epidemic environment, Liuzhou government continued to host the stone Festival on schedule, which fully reflected the determination and courage of Liuzhou municipal Party committee and government to support the development of stone appreciation.
