海报带有宣传广告的性质，其宣传内容包括电影戏剧消息、体育赛事、学术报告、商品推销、参观旅游、文艺演出等。

海报一般由标题、正文和落款三部分组成。

1. 海报的标题是海报最显眼的一部分，一般写在海报上方正中处。标題可以反映海报的核心内容，如Football Match， Lecture， Film News等，也可直接写POSTER。

2. 海报的正文要写明具体活动内容、时间、地点，以及规定、要求、组织者等。海报内容的表现形式比较自由，根据实际情况和表达效果的需要可以成一段落，也可逐项按行说明。

3. 落款。海报要写明主办单位名称以及发出海报的日期。海报的署名一般在右下角，日期在署名的下一行，通常位于右下角。

3. 主体人称：由于是以学生会的名义介绍英语晚会，所以人称应该以第一人称和第二人称为主。
