2. frighten  vt.  使吃惊;惊吓

比较：travel，journey和trip的区别

travel一般指到国外或远方旅行，它与journey不同之处在于不着重某一目的地，有到各地“游历”的意思，作名词时常用复数形式;trip常指短距离的旅行。在日常用语中，trip可与journey通用。

He has just returned from his travels.

他刚刚旅行回来。
